Webflow website migration

The switch to developing in Webflow was a no-brainer. Here's why.

In the last few years, Webflow has gained traction as a game-changing development platform revolutionizing how we think about websites and design. About a year and a half ago, Revv made the switch to exclusively developing our client websites in Webflow because their technology is just that good.

We had spent so much time developing in out-dated platforms like WordPress, that when we learned about Webflow, the switch was a no-brainer. Here’s why:

1. No-Code Development

Webflow truly merges the worlds of designers and developers and offers a more intuitive and design-focused approach to website building. Their no-code platform empowers developers to spend time on what matters: creating stunning, fully functional websites.

The intuitive visual interface allows users to design, prototype, and publish their websites without writing a single line of code, and this is the way that modern website development is going. This democratization of web development enables owners, developers, and designers alike to take control of their online presence without relying heavily on developers stuck in the 2010s.

While WordPress relies heavily on themes, templates, and plugins, Webflow allows for pixel-perfect control over the design and interactions and this alone has been a huge decisions maker for our clients.

2. Responsive Design Made Easy

Mobile devices have become the primary means through which users access the internet. Webflow's responsive design tools make it easy to create websites that look and function flawlessly on a variety of screen sizes and devices. This is a significant advantage for our clients who are looking to deliver a seamless user experience across all platforms.

This is also a major win from an SEO standpoint, leading us to our next point.

3. SEO Done Right

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a vital aspect of any website's success and was a huge painpoint for some of our clients who used to host their sites through Wix, WordPress, or Squarespace. Webflow has built-in SEO features like truly customizable meta tags, automatic sitemaps, and fast page loading times, even with a robust site build. These factors contribute to better search engine rankings and improved visibility, benefiting businesses in the long run.

We could go on and on about the benefits of an effective SEO strategy, so if you want to learn more about that, click here.

4. CMS and E-commerce Integration

Webflow offers a built-in content management system (CMS) that is highly customizable, making it ideal for our clients that require dynamic content. E-commerce functionality is also seamlessly integrated, allowing businesses to set up and manage online stores with ease.

This comprehensive solution eliminates the need for third-party plugins or complex integrations, streamlining the development process.

5. Hosting and Security

Webflow offers reliable and secure hosting services for websites. It handles infrastructure and security, reducing the burden on businesses and developers. The platform's content delivery network (CDN) ensures fast loading times and global accessibility, further enhancing user experience.

If you’ve been struggling with a clunky interface, an outdated CMS, or have just been dreaming about a streamlined website platform made for the 21st century, we highly recommend migrating your website to Webflow.
